An ancient thaig and fortress located beneath Ferelden. It was used by the Architect as its base of operations at 9:10 Dragon. Some years later, a Grey Warden expedition explored the thaig. By that time, the thaig was empty and no darkspawn were found.

A dwarven outpost built near the Amaranthine Ocean in order for them to gain access to salt and the sea lanes. A flourishing human settlement was built above which collaborated with the dwarves. After the Deep Roads were overrun by darkspawn, the outpost was abandoned and sealed, however its name is still being used by the human town above.

A great thaig and one of the remaining dwarven kingdoms in Thedas. The capital lies deep beneath the Hunterhorn Mountains, between Orlais and the Anderfels.
After Orzammar discovered in 9:12 Dragon that Kal-Sharok survived, the Assembly of Kal-Sharok refused to recognize the king or queen of Orzammar, despite Orzammar's protests.
The members of Kal-Sharok's Assembly may originate from any caste, not just noble caste, and the Assembly's meetings are held in the nearby Sharokovar thaig.
